MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - Marshfield’s Convention and Visitors Bureau has received a Joint Effort Marketing, or JEM, grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism for almost $10,000.
Sarah Klavas, The Dept. of Tourism’s Industry and Services Director, presented the check and says the grant is for the National Fur Taker's Rendezvous to be held in Marshfield, June 27-29. According to Klavas, “This great community expects almost 8,000 people to enjoy not only the show, but also the education that goes along with it.”
The three day family-oriented event is expected to generate an economic impact to the Marshfield area of about $928,000 from visitor spending at area hotels, restaurants and stores.
