Sex offender released New Year's Day

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -  A convicted sex offender has an opportunity to make the new year into a new start. 25-year-old William H. Craig gets out of prison today.

Craig was convicted of first and second degree sexual assault along with felony bail jumping back in May of 2007. He has reached the mandatory release date from prison after putting in six years behind bars. He will be placed in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Intensive Supervision program for the next 12 years, and monitored by the Community Corrections Office while living in transitional housing. Craig will be required to wear a tracking device and stick to a restricted activity schedule.

Craig was 18 when he admitted having sex with a 14-year-old girl in December of 2005.

Mr. Craig’s ongoing address and status will be updated and available online. We have a link to that for you here: www.widocoffenders.org
