Hangover? Skip the aspirin and caffeine

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -  If you celebrated with too many adult beverages last night, you might be looking for something to make you feel better this morning. Curing a hangover can take up to 24 hours, but there are some tips from medical experts to help alleviate the pain.

First, get plenty of sleep and get some excercise. Replenish your body with fruit or vegetable juices and plenty of water. You should also eat mineral and protein rich foods and avoid caffeine drinks like soda and coffee since it can actually dehydrate you.

Contrary to popular belief, you should not take aspirin for a hangover. Doctors say aspirin and alcohol are both blood thinners, which could lead to extra liver damage.

The best cure for a hangover is of course, to not drink too much alcohol in the first place.
