MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Milwaukee firefighters say there were no smoke detectors in the house where a fire seriously injured a seven year old boy Saturday morning.

The boy suffered smoke inhalation and had to be revived twice on the scene before he was taken to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.

The fire reportedly broke out at about 7:45 a.m. Saturday and flames were said to be shooting through the roof when crews arrived.

The boy was found while firefighters were searching the building.
