WAUSAU, WI (WSAU)  -  The fired Marathon County probation agent found guilty of stealing medications was on paid leave before her termination. Kim Hoenisch was placed on administrative leave August 31st while the Department of Corrections did their investigation.

An open records review obtained by the Wausau Daily Herald showed Hoenisch earned an estimated $14,050 from the time she was suspended until her employment was terminated Dec. 21, not including benefits, at $23.10 per hour not counting benefits.

Department of Corrections administrator Denise Symdon wrote Hoenisch’s termination letter. One of the comments was, “You have compromised all trust I placed in you and have irreparably damaged your ability to work and be trusted by DOC stakeholders.”

Hoenisch is scheduled to be sentenced for her crimes April 25th.
