MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker says he won’t touch the question of whether gays should be allowed in the Boy Scouts.

The Republican Walker was an Eagle Scout, the highest honor given by the organization. But he says he won’t publicly weigh in on Scout matters because it’s a private organization and, “I’ve got enough troubles and challenges dealing with what I have in state government.”

The Scouts said this week it would delay a decision on easing its long-time policy to exclude gays as both members and adult leaders.
