WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- It's time for students to start thinking about college, and the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin wants to help them find a scholarship.

Executive director Jean Teehan says the Foundation has a lot of scholarships to work with. "More than 150 students from across north central Wisconsin, from preschool to post graduate, will be awarded scholarships totalling more than $200,000."

A wide range of groups use the Foundation to help manage those scholarships, which Teehan says helps students. "We have endowments for Scholarships totaling approximately $5.7 million, which each year produces these scholarships. We're very excited to be in the position to help these students to advance their education."

Teehan says the application process is all online. "We have a scholarship section that is very detailed, and students can go in and take a look and see what they qualify for."

Deadlines for the applications vary, so check online for more information.
