Taylor Swift is reinventing herself all over again for her upcoming fifth album, expected to come out sometime in 2014. The new project will include songwriting collaborations between Taylor and other longtime songwriters and producers.

"I see it as a bit of an apprenticeship," Taylor tells Billboard . "I want to be around people who love writing songs and have done it for years. Every time I'm in a studio I'm learning, like how to build a drum track, and getting a new perspective on things. It's so thrilling to keep learning on your fifth album."

Taylor knows her fans expect her to come up with new sounds with each new project, and she's definitely up for that challenge.

Says Taylor, "I like it when it sounds new and people don't know where you're going to go next."

Taylor just wrapped up the Australian leg of her RED tour and was spotted doing some Christmas shopping over the weekend in Nashville.
