STOCKTON, Wis. (WSAU) -- It was hard enough for some hunters to get a deer this year, and now one hunter has lost their kill to theft.
Portage County Crimestoppers says a deer was stolen from the People's Meat Market in Stockton in November. The owner reported to Portage County deputies that the deer had vanished after the hunter who shot it dropped it off for processing. The 10 point buck had a 17 inch spread and had some barbed wire tangled in its antlers.
