WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Sylvan Tubing Hill will be opening up for the season tomorrow.
Wausau/Marathon County Recreation Superintendent Karyn Powers says they are expecting a good open on Friday. "We're looking forward to good temperature for night time tubing. We're recommending people wear snow pants, a waterproof jacket, gloves a hat and boots and come on out to the hill."
The hill opens up at 6 pm on Friday and will remain open each weekend throughout the winter season. If you're coming out, Powers says you don't need to bring anything with you but a desire to have some fun. "Just get in line, when you get in line you get a tube, we've got tow lines that will pull you comfortably up the hill so you can look around and enjoy the view while you're going up."
Tickets are $6 a day for kids 13 and under and $8.50 for everyone else. Powers says you should plan ahead to come at a slow time to get more time on the hill. "The earlier they come, the more runs they'll get in before it gets busy. Friday nights and Sunday afternoons are a little bit more open than Saturday afternoons or Saturday nights when it comes to long lines or waiting."
