UPDATE: Ivan Villaseca had an initial hearing Monday, and he was ordered held on a $20,000 cash bond. Prosecutor Michael Puerner says Villaseca, Noah, and Wood will face additional charges as early as Tuesday after they compile reports from other municipalities that tie the suspects to other crimes.
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- Wausau police say the guns recovered from the ice on the Wisconsin River came from a recent series of burglaries.
Detective Captain Greg Hagenbucher says the guns were stolen from a home the believe was burglarized by Rocky Noah and Darryl Wood, who were arrested last week as part of the burglaries. They're also naming 18 year old Ivan Villaseca as an accomplice in the crime.
Police recovered those guns early Saturday from the ice under the Bridge Street bridge. The guns are believed to have been stolen in a burglary back in November on Wausau's west side. All of the guns were older shotguns and long rifles.
Noah, Wood, and Villaseca were taken into custody at a house in the 600 block of Steuben Street early Friday afternoon.
Noah and Wood are being held on probation holds, Villaseca will make an initial appearance this afternoon.
