Jackpot in Mega Millions continues to grow after no winner Tuesday

MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Nobody won the Mega Millions' jackpot Tuesday night, so it goes up to $291 million for the next drawing on Friday.

Nobody from Wisconsin won the million-dollar second prize. The numbers of Badger State players winning smaller prizes was not immediately available -- but it should be sizable, considering that about 26,000 Wisconsin players won something in the previous Mega Millions' drawing last Friday night.

The state's top winner that night won $5,000.

Tuesday night's numbers were 7, 12, 41, 44, and 59. The Mega Ball was 3, and the Megaplier was 3.

Friday night's cash option is $157 million.

The current Mega Millions' jackpot is the highest since March of 2012, when players in three states shared the world-record lottery prize of $656 million.

In Powerball, the jackpot for Wednesday night is $81 million.
