UNDATED (WSAU) The high speed chase involving two juveniles from Taylor County is over. They were apprehended near Green Bay early Thursday morning. The suspects were arrested at a home on South Chestnut Street in Green Bay.
Sheriffs deputies in multiple counties were searching for the boys, aged 15 and 13, from Taylor County who were armed with two semi-automatic weapons. They were in a stolen truck taken from the Athens area. The juveniles sped away from a traffic stop, sparking a high-speed chase. The allegedly stole ammunition from Medford.
The suspects reportedly changed vehicles, stealing a truck from a yard. Police were searching for a green Chevy Silverado pick-up. The windshield of another vehicle - police squad car - was hit as shots rang out. The weapons were recovered in the stolen truck when police arrested the two suspects.
Details on how the teens were finally apprehended is expected later today. There were no injuries.
Deputies from Clark, Taylor and Marathon counties are involved in the search.
