TOMAHAWK, Wis. (WSAU) - A 47-year-old Tomahawk man is in the Lincoln County Jail and a 42-year-old Tomahawk man spent the weekend at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital after Deputies investigated a battery complaint in the Town of King. Lincoln County deputies won’t release the men’s names, but did confirm the chain of events that started at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
The victim called 911 and reported he was injured after a man arrived at his home on North Pine Rd. The victim denied an ambulance but when a Deputy arrived a short time later he found the victim was seriously injured and requested Tomahawk EMS respond to the scene. The man was transported by ambulance to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital and then flown to the trauma center at St. Joseph’s where he was treated over the weekend and released Sunday afternoon.
A Tomahawk Police Officer found the suspect’s vehicle just over an hour later at a tavern in the City of Tomahawk and when contact was made with suspect he denied being at the residence. When Deputies pointed out blood on the suspects shoes he admitted being at the residence but said nothing more than a scuffle took place. The suspect was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a charge of substantial battery – cause great bodily harm. He will have a bond hearing Monday in Lincoln County Court.
