FRIENDSHIP, WI (WSAU) - The Adams County man accused of killing his mother goes on trial today. 61-year-old Larry W. Clark is charged with first degree intentional homicide for allegedly shooting Marcella Clark at her Big Flats home. Marcella was reported missing on November 11th of 2010, but she may have been dead since June 2010.
The complaint says Larry Clark had been cashing his mothers checks after she died.
Marcella was found wrapped in a tarp in the wooded area of her property by a K9 officer. She died from a gunshot wound to the back. Investigators found two bullet holes in the wall of the residence Larry Clark shared with his mother.
Along with the homicide charge, Clark is charged with hiding a corpse, two counts of passing a forged check, two counts of providing false information about a missing person and one count of misappropriation of identification. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
The trial is expected to last through Friday.
