Brad Paisley and LL Cool J got a lot of flak in the media for their collaboration, "Accidental Racist," but one of rap's biggest stars, Snoop Dogg , aka Snoop Lion , doesn't have a problem with the song at all.
Snoop tells The Wall Street Journal , "LL played the song for me in the studio, I didn’t think it was controversial."
The rapper thinks critics were too quick to judge "Accidental Racist," and he adds, "Just shut the f*ck up and enjoy the music or don’t. There’s too much put on what we do. It’s just like a movie, or art, or expression, it’s not mean to create so much controversy."
In the midst of the all the controversy surrounding "Accidental Racist," Snoop defends LL and Brad's respective rights to express themselves in song, saying, "That’s what music allows you to do. If you don’t like it, all you have to do is turn it off."
Of note, Brad Paisley and Snoop performed together a few years back on Snoop's song "My Medicine." "Accidental Racist" is included on Brad's latest album, Wheelhouse , now in stores.
