UNDATED (WSAU) A Wisconsin Rapids man is facing charges for breaking into homes while people were at the funerals of loved ones. 32-year-old Seth Furgason was caught in Chippewa County, burglarizing a home in Chippewa Falls after reading a newspaper obituary that the person who lived there had died.
Police were able to trace the break-in to Furgason. They obtained a search warrant and recovered several stolen items inside Fergusson's home in Wisconsin Rapids.
An accomplice is also in custody. Their name hasn't been released. Investigators are still trying to determine their involvement in the crimes.
Police believe Furgason is responsible for several other obituary break-ins in Dunn, Portage, Shawano, and Trempealeau counties.
