BOSTON, MA (WHBL) - A single phone call helped bring down the Boston bombing suspect.
Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis says a resident walked out to his backyard to find a blood-covered Dzhokhar Tsarnaev hiding under a tarp in his boat. That resident called authorities, who rushed to the scene and engaged in a gunfight with Tsarnaev. Families were evacuated from their houses when the gunfire died down and a nearly two-hour standoff began. Tsarnaev was taken into custody and rushed to a hospital, where he is in serious condition.
The FBI believes Dzhokhar and his brother planted the Boston Marathon bombs that killed at least three people and injured more than 170 on Monday.
