UNDATED (WSAU) - The spring election did see some incumbents lose office.
In Lincoln County, Judge John Yackel was defeated by Merrill attorney Robert Russell by only 180 votes.
Kronenwetter Village President Judy Akey was defeated by Geraldine Kowalski 505 to 422.
One incumbent will have to wait until vote canvassing to find out if he won. Stevens Point City Attorney Louis Molepske Sr. trails Alderman and challenger Andrew Logan Beveridge by only 42 votes, but there are still 87 absentee ballots outstanding.
Stevens Point City Clerk John Moe says we may not know the final outcome of the City Attorney’s race until absentee ballots arrive. He says if they were postmarked by Election Day and arrive by Friday, they will be counted.
