SAINT LOUIS (WSAU) - Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez reached base five straight times, went 3-for-3 and pounded his 22nd home run of the season while leading Milwaukee to a 6-3 win over St. Louis.

The Brewers are just five games out of the final wild card playoff slot in the National League after winning 15-of-19 games. Rickie Weeks also had a home run, while Ryan Braun contributed three hits. Winning pitcher Mike Fiers gave up one run on five hits in five innings of work.

John Axford nailed down his 27th save with an uneventful ninth inning. Jake Westbook took the loss for the Cardinals.
