ROTHSCHILD, WI (WSAU) -  A Saturday night Rothschild house fire is under investigation. Fire officials and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation are checking to see if the house at 400 Frances Street was accidental or intentional.

Yellow police tape surrounds the severely damaged single story house. The fire started shortly before midnight and took firefighters until about 4:00 a.m. to put out. Much of the house is just embers now, and a neighboring house had some heat damage to the siding. Tammy Thorn was renting the house, but was out of town visiting family members when the fire broke out.
