WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - Campaigns are expensive. The Center for Responsive Politics says both major parties have jointly spent 3 point 4 million dollars in the two congressional districts that cover northern Wisconsin.
Most of that has been in the 7th District where Democrat Pat Kreitlow is trying to unseat Republican Sean Duffy. That race alone has cost 2-point-8 million so far.
In the 8th District, Republican incumbent Reid Ribble is challenged by political newcomer Jamie Wall. The parties and PAC’s have spent a combined $744,000 dollars there.
