Packers Return To Practice Today

by

GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) The Green Bay Packers return to the practice field today, to start going over the game-plan for Sunday’s match-up at Saint Louis. It’s the final contest in a three-game road stretch for the Packers – and a victory would even their season road mark at 2-and-2, and put the Pack over .500 overall at 4-and-3. But most of all, it would give Green Bay its first back-to-back wins of the season, and provide a little momentum after a rough and injury-riddled start.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined the walking wounded when he hurt a leg on a touchdown run that was called back by a penalty. On his weekly radio show yesterday, Rodgers said he should have slid – but he thinks he’ll be okay.

He also said Sunday night’s 42-24 win at Houston was not fueled by all the doubts expressed about the Packers by the fans and the media – but it didn’t hurt. He said it’s easy for the media to highlight a team that’s not meeting its expectations – and hopes are extremely high for the Pack after their 15-and-1 regular season a year ago.

Also today, the team plans to learn more about several injured starters – including receiver Greg Jennings, nose tackle B-J Raji, linebacker Nick Perry, and corner Sam Shields.
