The Good Will Hunting actor stars in and directs the drama, which chronicles the heroic story of a CIA rescue mission to save hostages in Iran in the 1970s - and some of the action was shot in Istanbul.
However, the location shoot was tough for Affleck, who came down with a nasty bout of influenza, but he refused to take a single day off.
Argo producer Grant Heslov tells The Hollywood Reporter, ""He was really, really sick, with a fever, the whole thing, and he didn't take a day off. At the worst point, he left a bit early, and he had to be feeling really terrible to do that.""
