Luke Bryan Is Giving Back to Agricultural Community as Farm Tour Expands

Luke Bryan closes out his fourth annual Farm Tour with a show in Macon, GA Saturday night.  Luke still plays farms around the southeast on the trek along with certain shows in college towns.  The idea for the tour came from Luke's early days in Nashville and his down home approach at putting on concerts himself.

He says, "The only way I could create a show was just getting an old tractor barn and on a hay wagon and play a show."

Luke also grew up in a farming family in South Georgia, and he wanted to give back to the farming community through this tour.  Since Luke is now one of country's hottest stars, the shows attract bigger and bigger crowds every year though.

"When you roll into a small town, they have to hire every police and sheriff's deputy to take over the town," Luke explains.  "So we wanted to always make sure we leave these communities better than we found them, so we do a scholarship to the local college."

One student from a farming family in each city on the Farm Tour is awarded a scholarship.  Says Luke, "That's pretty cool that we get to do that.  Certainly, we always hope we can grow it to even bigger and better things and help out whoever we can."

Once the Farm Tour wraps up, Luke heads back to Nashville to headline the 5th Annual Capitol Street Party on Lower Broadway coming up October 17.
