RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) -  A northwoods education facility is getting a large grant. Nicolet College in Rhinelander has been awarded more than half a million dollars to help with manufacturing training. The grant was issued through the U.S. Department of Labor.

Nicolet President Elizabeth Burmaster said this grant will help train skilled labor for the very jobs manufacturers are looking to fill. The grant will be used to fund two new staff members and buy manufacturing training equipment.

The $550,000 award brings Nicolet College’s total to $1.3 million in grant money for manufacturing education since July.
