Long jail term in armed home-invasion

NEKOOSA, Wis (WSAU)  A 28-year-old Nekoosa man will spend 15 years in prison for an armed break-in at a local home last March. Triston Carter was one of three men who broke into the home on Clark Street. The suspects met one of the people living at the home at a nightclub, and decided to rob the house after the victim showed off a large amount of cash.

The victims were beaten during the robbery. They were hospitalized after the attack. Money and cellphones were taken.

Carter was arrested a week later. An alleged accomplice, 28-year-old Amanda Johnson, is suspected of helping to organize the robbery. She's pled not guilty and is awaiting trial.
