STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) - The Marine Corps, The Rotary Club, businesses, and local volunteers are already working on this year’s Toys For Tots campaign.
In Portage County, O’so Brewery hosted an event raising over $2,300 earlier this month. They’ve raised over $5,000 in the effort so far. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Jason Tatro helped brewery workers spend those dollars at Plover Shopko getting more toys for this year’s donations.
All Toys For Tots donations stay in the local community. In Portage County, distribution includes The Salvation Army and Operation Bootstrap. In Marathon County, they work closely with the Salvation Army.
Collection boxes are located at many businesses through December 17th. New, unwrapped toys are then wrapped and distributed by the Rotary Club and the Marine Corps Reserve. We have a link to the Portage County list of sites, as well as other Toys For Tots coordinators at our website, WSAU.com.
