WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -  A Mosinee man facing several felony charges was bound over for trial Wednesday. 31-year-old Julian Alvarez was in Marathon County court, where Judge Greg Huber found probable cause a crime had been committed by him.

A female victim needed medical attention after one of the alleged attacks. She was only able to get help after slipping a note to a Rib Mountain bank teller.

Alvarez was on the run from September 1st until his arrest November 20th. He faces charges including 2nd Degree Sexual Assault with Use of Force, two counts of False Imprisonment, Battery, Strangulation and Suffocation, Substantial Battery with Intent to Cause Bodily Harm, Possessing Firearms as a Convicted Felon, and Theft of Movable Property. That movable property includes guns stolen from Statton’s General Store in Tomahawk November 2nd.

Alvarez’ roommate Marcos Garza was caught with a different handgun in his backpack when he was arrested in downtown Wausau after threatening a 17-year-old girl and triggering a lockdown at Wausau West High School October 5th.

Alvarez will have a pretrial conference December 11th.
