UNDATED (WSAU) - Two races in the November elections have been settled.
The 72nd Assembly District will not have a recount. Democratic challenger Justin Pluess conceded the election Wednesday, saying he will not seek a recount. Republican incumbent Scott Krug had a 109 vote lead after official canvassing of the votes. Pluess says he won’t pursue the recount, saying election officials deserve a break and this will spare taxpayers the expense of the recount.
Iron County thought they had narrowly elected a different District Attorney. It turns out the incumbent will stay on the job. Challenger Anthony Stella appeared to win November 6th by just three votes. A hand recount this week reversed the outcome, giving Marty Lipske a four vote margin of victory.
