Thanksgiving is a time to really count our blessings, and Taylor Swift is one of those stars that definitely has a lot to be thankful for these days. Her album, Red , is the year's hottest seller, and she'll actually be in Tokyo promoting the project on Thanksgiving Day.
Though she won't get to spend the holiday with her loved ones, Taylor tells ABC News Radio, "I'm most thankful for my family, and the fact that we're so close and the fact that we're all healthy. To me, that's the most important thing. If I have that, I'm OK."
Eric Church echoes Taylor's thoughts expressing thanks for his wife Katherine and their son Boone . He's also grateful for the big success he's had in the past few years thanks to Chief . He says, "I’m thankful for what the fans have done. I’m thankful that we’re starting to have some hit songs on the radio, I mean there’s a lot of stuff to be thankful for."
Thanksgiving is all about family time for Darius Rucker , who spends the day with relatives in either New Jersey or back home in Charleston, SC. He describes the get together saying, "If we’re in Charleston, getting together with my family and just cooking and eating. Sitting around and talking and remembering and being thankful for where we are, you know. We’re all still alive."
Chris Young is also thankful for family time at Thanksgiving since his mom, dad and sister all supported him enormously as he pursued music. They even listened to him practice music for hours and hours when he was a kid, and Chris is pretty sure he was probably terrible at first.
He says, "Like, me learning to play guitar and try to sing at the same time. I'm sure there was an awkward phase."
Chris is also thankful his father will be them again this Thanksgiving after he beat lung cancer a few years back.
Says Chris, "When someone has something like that, you're just kind of blessed for every day you have 'em. It makes you realize how fragile that is sometimes."
