MADISON, WI (WSAU) The Wisconsin men’s basketball team pounded Presbyterian last night, 88-to-43 in Madison. It was the fourth straight blow-out loss for the South Carolina school, after losing its first three games by an average of 25 points.
The Badgers out-shot Presbyterian 52-to-36 percent, and they led by as many as 50 in the second half with the help of 16 three-pointers on the night.
Guard Ben Brust led Wisconsin with 20 points and 12 rebounds. It was his third double-double in a four-game stretch – and the last Badger to achieve that was Mike Wilkinson back in 2005.
Wisconsin committed only six turnovers, as it improved to 3-and-1.
Khalid Mutakabbir scored 14 for Presbyterian, which was coming off a 29-point loss last week to 14th-ranked Creighton.
