Powerball jackpot tops $200M for 5th time in 2012

by

MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - The Powerball jackpot has gone above $200 million for the fifth time this year.

It’s at $214 million for Saturday night, after nobody won the top prize Wednesday night.

One ticket from Wisconsin won $40,000 by having the Power Play option, and matching four regular numbers plus the Powerball. Two other Wisconsin tickets won $10,000 each.

Almost 16,750 players in the Badger State won something. Wednesday night’s numbers were 8, 10, 30, 44, and 58. The Powerball was 13.

Saturday’s jackpot is the highest since August 15th. The cash option will be $143 million for a single winner who takes the whole prize now instead of in annual installments.

In Mega Millions, the jackpot is at $26 million for Friday night.
