Milwaukee woman charged in fatal hit-run accident

MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - A Milwaukee woman is due back in court November 21st, after she was charged in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.

25-year-old Tiera Perry turned herself into police 3 days after the incident – and police said a witness identified her in a lineup of possible suspects.

Officers said Perry’s car struck and killed 41-year-old Kendrick Finch around 2 a.m. last Sunday, while he was walking on a northwest side Milwaukee street.

According to prosecutors, another driver noticed debris and then saw a woman checking out damage to her car.

The woman’s car reportedly drove away, and the witness tried following the vehicle but lost it. That driver went to the crash scene and called police.

Perry is charged with hit-and-run causing death. She was ordered to stand trial after she waived her preliminary hearing, and the status of the case will be reviewed during her next court appearance.
