WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis (WSAU) Charges have been filed against a Wisconsin Rapids man who is accused of robbing a gas station last summer. A police officer identified the suspect from a store security tape. He was known to police because of an unrelated drug arrest.
27-year-old Nathan George is charged with robbery by use of force. Last August he allegedly went into the Mobil station on West Grand Avenue, shoved the clerk backwards, and grabbed money from the cash register.
At the time he was free on $10,000 signature bond in a heroin case.
If convicted in Wood County court, George could face 21-years in prison.
