MADISON (WSAU-Badgers) Five UW players reached double-figures as Wisconsin won its final exhibition basketball game of the season over UW-Oshkosh, 96-44. Wisconsin was led by a 16-point, six-rebound outing from senior Jared Berggren. Fellow senior Ryan Evans poured in a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds as all 14 Badgers who saw the floor tallied points.
Wisconsin shot 50 percent from the field (16-for-32) in the first half despite a streaky run from the Titans to start the contest. In the early going, Oshkosh had a 14-5 lead. The Badgers took control of the game midway through the first half with a 29-2 run.
The Badgers open their regular season schedule on Sunday afternoon against Southeastern Louisiana. The game tips off at 1pm. The game broadcast will be heard on WSAU AM-550 FM-99.9 starting at noon.
