TOWN OF HEWITT, Wis (WSAU) There was a fatal crash on Highway 52 near Spring Brook Road in the Town of Hewitt on Tuesday night. The Marathon County sheriffs department says it was a head-on crash involving a car and a dump drunk.

It's not clear how many people were in the car, or whether the victim was the driver or a passenger. A second person was hospitalized.

Police reports say more details, including the victim's name, will be released on Wednesday morning. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
