MERRILL, WI (WSAU) - A 22-year-old Merrill woman is in the Lincoln County Jail after stealing Wisconsin Lottery tickets.
Lincoln County investigators say a former employee of Remington Oil Convenience Store in Gleason is in jail, charged with accessing her former employer’s office and safe. Three packages of scratch off tickets worth $1,000 dollars were taken.
Investigators learned that over $500 worth of winning tickets were cashed in at other nearby stores. Surveillance video helped identify Jennifer L.L. Boyd as the person cashing in the tickets. Boyd is in the Lincoln County jail on a probation hold. Formal burglary and theft charges are expected from the Lincoln County District Attorney Monday or Tuesday.
