MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - City clerks around our area are making final preparations for Tuesday’s big vote.
Deb Hall in Marshfield says Friday, November 2nd is the last day to register in advance at her office, and now is the time to get your plans for election day figured out; like if you’re properly registered and where you should go to vote.
So how does absentee voting and early voting in our area compare to the last presidential election? Hall says that in Marshfield it’s down a little, but that’s probably because of a recent change in the voting laws. Four years ago, early voting could start as soon as the ballots were printed, but this time around pre-election day voting had to wait until the last two weeks prior to November 6th. Hall says early and absentee voting still appear to be very strong.
According to Hall, there could be lines, so be sure and plan accordingly.
