WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - A group of Central Wisconsin utility workers are on the scene in Connecticut helping to repair the damage from Hurricane Sandy.
Wisconsin Public Service spokeswoman Kelly Zagrzebski says 23 staff and 10 trucks will arrive this morning on the East Coast to help restore power and repair the power grid in the wake of the storm. That's 20 line technicians, two supervisors and a mechanic." Crews were dispatched from both Wausau and Stevens Point offices.
Crews will be Tweeting and sending back more info on what they're seeing from the scene throughout the repairs.
