'Hunger Games' Star Isabelle Furhman Joins David Gordon Green's Horror 'Suspiria'

By Michael Arbeiter, Hollywood.com Staff

The ballet-themed horror movie has kind of been done to perfection, but why not take another stab? That's David Gordon Green's mentality, as he has opted to remake of the 1977 chiller Suspiria — the movie that could potentially get him out of his Pineapple Express/Your Highness/The Sitter slump, and back into interesting projects like George Washington, All the Real Girls and Snow Angels. And Green has begun the process by casting quite the viable up-and-comer: The Hunger Games' supporting player Isabelle Fuhrman.

Fuhrman played the antagonistic Clove in the blockbuster movie, but this is hardly her most vile character to date. The young actress mastered the art of horror in 2009's Orphan. Although the film itself was hardly a triumph, Fuhrman's performance was the standout gem.

This marks the second Hunger Games cast member to turn to horror after the success of the young adult fiction film: star Jennifer Lawrence will take the lead in House at the End of the Street in September.
