LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ) - Accused killer Eric Koula’s attorneys will argue a professional fatally shot his parents when his trial starts next month.
Koula has been accused of killing Dennis and Merna Koula to inherit their house.
He is described as a struggling day trader from West Salem who was heir to his parents’ estate.
Trial starts June 4th in La Crosse County Circuit Court. The judge has told the defense they are going to have to more closely define what they are calling a professional by next week.
Eric Koula has said he was helping a friend with work on a home on Loomis Street the day his parents died. Koula’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 30th.
