We already knew Justin Bieber was a huge music sensation, but the young pop star is now taking his popularity to overwhelming heights, especially in the online arena. The singer's ""Boyfriend"" music video which was released on May 3 has already set a new record on YouTube, according to The Hollywood Reporter, logging over 8 million views within the first 24 hours of its release.
Of course, the teen heartthrob's team of Beliebers probably had a little something to do with it (it's called Bieber Fever for a reason, you know). And as we've already pointed out, Bieber has grown up quite a bit, so his female demographic should prove to be stronger than ever before.
As of Saturday, ""Boyfriend"" had logged 9.2 million hits. But just in case you were too busy pre-gaming for your Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby weekend festivities and have yet to see the video in all its swagger-filled glory, check out the full version of the music clip below:
