FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) - A repeated horse abuser was convicted of disorderly conduct Monday.
Sterling Rachwal pled no contest to the charge after being discovered in a horse barn.
Fond du Lac County Judge Gary Sharpe sentenced Rachwal to 90 days in jail.
Rachwal told investigators he was indeed on a Fond du Lac County Farm in 2008 - and that he intended to abuse to another horse. Rachwal was discovered by the horse's owner - wearing rubber gloves and a headlamp in the barn.
There was no evidence Rachwal touched the horses.
He has faced charges involving horses several times in the past 20 years, and has had been committed for psychiatric treatment on occaision.
