STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) – A Bancroft man convicted of killing his girlfriend's aunt and stabbing her dad last spring has pled guilty to breaking into two buildings the weekend of the murder.
Tyler Dahms admitted breaking into the Stockton town hall and Wander Inn Bar in Amherst. Prosecutors agreed to drop theft and criminal damage to property charges as part of a plea deal.
Attorneys decided to handle the burglary charges separately from Dahms' murder trial in late January.
Dahms will be sentenced April 4th on all of the charges – including the burglaries and killing Karen Dombrowski and stabbing Ken Dombrowski. He faces a maximum 60-year sentence in Karen Dombrowski's death.
