WESTON, Wis (WSAU) The group that launched a petition drive to restore bus service in Weston will be meeting with local officials this afternoon. The NAOMI group had also been involved in raising money to fund part of the service, although those efforts fell short of their goals. Weston residents approved a referendum earlier this month to re-start bus service in 2013.

Rothschild and Schofield also decided to stop bus service this year. Some local leaders say they'd consider re-starting it if additional money became available.

Today's meeting is at 1:30pm at the Weston Municipal Center.
