MOSINEE, Wis. (WSAU) – Marathon County officials are searching for a missing fisherman on the Big Eau Plein.

Reports say 48-year-old Paul Locher left his home yesterday afternoon to go fishing on the reservoir but never returned. The Marathon County dive team has been on site since 4 am this morning looking for his body.

The Wausau Daily Herald is reporting that a boat belonging to Locher has been recovered but he has not been found.

Officials from the department refused comment this afternoon.
