BELOIT, WI (WTAQ) - The Rock County Sheriff’s office is hoping the public can help its investigators solve the murder of a 91 year old Beloit woman. Marjorie Sands was found dead in her home last September. The initial investigation determined she had died from accidental blunt force trauma, such as one suffered in a fall. But, detectives say they received information which made them suspicious – and a forensic autopsy showed the elderly woman’s death was a homicide. Nine months after the murder, the sheriff’s office says it needs help from the public to solve the case. Persons with information can call the Rock County detective bureau at 608-757-7923, or Crimestoppers at 608-362-7463.
