Luke Bryan is set to sing the national anthem at Tuesday night's MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City.  Besides his obvious love of music, Luke grew up playing baseball through high school.

He says, "Baseball for me was really my sport.  If I excelled at a sport, I probably excelled the most at baseball and enjoyed that the most."

Now that he's a country star, Luke has gotten to know some baseball players like Chipper Jones and Adam LaRoche .  He's also introducing his two young sons to baseball.

Luke says, "My boys love baseball, and we’re gonna enjoy going and doing the anthem and catching the game."

Luke's performance will be televised on Fox, and you can be sure he won't be phoning it in.

"You know, the anthem is always a pretty tough thing to sing, and you never want to mess it up," Luke explains.  "It’s always a really personal thing for me."

Kellie Pickler will also sing "God Bless America" during the game's 7th-inning stretch. You can catch it all on Fox at 8 p.m. ET.
