MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU) – A new poll shows that Wisconsinites are split on whether Governor Scott Walker's doing a good job.

The Marquette Law School surveyed 716 registered voters late last week. Forty-seven percent said they approved of the Republican Walker's job performance, while 47-percent disapproved.

Meanwhile, the percentage of those having a favorable opinion of Walker dropped from 50-percent a month ago to 46-percent now.

Sixty-one percent of those surveyed said they were attuned to politics most of the time. But even so, 47-percent said they could not form an opinion about Democrat Kathleen Falk -- who's making the most noise as a candidate in the possible recall election against Walker.

Sixty-eight percent said they didn't know what to think of the other Democrat in the race, Alma Senator Kathleen Vinehout. Forty-percent weren't sure what to think about possible candidate Tom Barrett, who lost the 2010 gubernatorial election to Walker.

Seventy-two percent in the Marquette poll said they've heard of the John Doe investigation into Walker's former Milwaukee County aides. Of those, 52-percent said it was serious, while 40-percent said it was "just more politics."
